Qualifying consisted of one timed lap from a standing start. The timing crew set the
finish line by 100 ft. into the braking zone for turn 1. This made for an exciting finish
for the TNT King Snake Viper driven by Kim Krumb. Kim stayed in the throttle later than any
sane human, threshold braking (with tire smoke) to negotiate turn 1.
This was the first time we had run the Aurora with its new camber adjustment,
what a difference.
